April 23. Welcome, to this week's newsletter. Our featured article, how to find an affordable active community, is thanks to a member suggestion. We are always looking for new survey topics that we can then report back to you on. Do you have an idea for a subject we could poll yourfellow members on? If so, please reply to this email. We hope you are enjoying the spirited discussion going on in our recent Blog post about the " Best States to Retire". So far there are 87 comments! | This article is thanks to a member suggestion, one we hear frequently - why don't you feature any communities that are affordable? The fact is, we have reviewed more communities with homes priced under $200,000 than we have higher than that. Here is a selection of some of our favorites.

| We don't usually feature individual active adult or 55+ communities in this newsletter, but given today's subject matter, affordable communities, we are taking a flier. Laguna Woods Village is a very large and dynamic community in Southern California with 7 clubhouses. Small co-ops available forless than $100,000, with larger homes going for many times that.

| Here is an east coast version of the large, very long established active adult community. This one in the Tampa area has more than 11,000 residents and 150 clubs. Prices range from $50,000to $500,000.
